All our sunglasses are tested to levels that far exceed the European standards and are all Optical Class 1, which means that they’re the same high quality as prescription lenses.

In order to carry out these detailed tests we have developed a state of the art testing laboratory- the most advanced in Europe. Our team of expert technicians use the following equipment to ensure each style is developed to the very highest standards, and we also under take our own exclusive tests to ensure our sunglasses exceed all global safety standards.

Spectrophotometers to measure the light transmittance properties of the lenses, ensuring they are uniform and cut out all harmful UV radiation that could affect the wearers vision.

Optitester to measure the optical powers of the lenses to reveal any distortion in the lens

Ignition testing to test that no part of the sunglasses is flammable

Ballistics Tests that ensure resistance to high-speed particles

Chemical testing to test that sun creams and sweat solutions do not corrode or react with the sunglass.

Mechanical frame endurance tests ensure the frame is robust and hinges do not become loose.
